IFALPA bulletin: Extension of Cockpit Voice Recorder (CVR) Duration

IFALPA statement on Germanwings 9525

We, The world’s professional pilots are united in our sadness about the tragedy of Germanwings flight 4U9525. The alleged fate of this flight, as outlined by the French prosecutors, is beyond our comprehension, and would constitute an extremely isolated case.

IFALPA briefing leaflet: The RNAV Visual

IFALPA is strongly opposed to the current implementation of RNAV Visual approaches.
The concept of RNAV Visual approaches has merit but ICAO has yet to define Standards and Recommended Practices for this type of approach. Until these standards are established, there continues to be a lack of global harmonization in how these approaches are designed, approved, implemented, trained, and flown.

IFALPA Briefing Leaflet: Cold Temperature Corrections

Latest IFALPA publication

Performance Based Navigation (PBN) is now being used in many states and areas worldwide.
